With the popularity of LDV Winery Owners Peggy Fiandaca and Curt Dunham’s “From the LDV Winery Vineyard Kitchen” Facebook Live cooking and wine pairing segments as they shelter in place at the vineyard, the winemakers have extended this weekly series with new dates every Thursday through June 11. The schedule and meal themes are as follows:
May 21 — Lemon Chicken with lemon orzo and fresh herbs, shaved asparagus and aged parmesan
paired with 2015 Sky Island Viognier
May 28 — Grilled Marinated Flank Steak (Flat Iron or Flap Steak) with piri piri sauce and Southwestern corn paired 2016 R.E.D.
June 4 — Grilled Chicken and Vegetable Kabobs with toasted pearl couscous with lemon and peas paired with 2014 Sky Island Syrah
June 11 — A meal inspired by Father’s Day (Sunday, June 21) featuring Coffee Spice Rubbed Grilled New York Steak with loaded twice baked potato and roasted tomato paired with 2015 The Signature Petite Sirah
Recipes are provided via the LDV Winery Facebook page prior to each event. During each free session, the winemakers-turned-amateur chefs host an interactive dinner preparation with wine tips, pairing suggestions and more. Guests are encouraged to join in as a different meal is prepared each week — but cooking along is not required! Participants are invited to simply enjoy some virtual socialization as they sit back and sip some wine!
Those that order the entire selection of wines in the series will receive 10% discount.
