Event Benefits Independence Fund Track Chair Program For Veterans
Cooper’stown Restaurant and Cattleman’s BBQ Sauce are teaming up for a great cause. All proceeds from the Blues, Brews and BBQ Week will be given to the Independence Fund, which provides Track Wheelchairs to veterans. All of the fabulous “House of Fire” BBQ Items will be half price in addition to other daily BBQ specials. There will be something for the whole family to enjoy as Cooper’stown has lined up some great live music each night, raffle prizes and some fun activities for the kids!
The mission of the Independence Fund is to provide tools, therapies and guidance that those veterans severely injured in the line of duty that are not otherwise receiving. The Track Chair program launched last September and provides all-terrain wheelchairs to veterans that can benefit from the durable off-road features. Each chair costs approximately $12,000.
Cooper’stown has put together some amazing raffle prizes to generate additional funds for the Independence Fund. Patrons will have the opportunity to enter to win prizes such as:
- BBQ Grills
- Gift certificates
- Promotional items from Miller Lite, Coke, Cattleman’s and Shamrock Farms
The event coincides with Cooper’stown rolling out their new menu, which includes the new Bill O’Reilly BBQ Beef Sandwich. This item will remain on the menu year-round and $2 from the sale of each sandwich will be donated to the Independence Fund on an annual basis.
